Enjoying cocktails with your pals is one of the great joys in life. But hangovers can ruin a vacation faster than rain inside your convertible and life is really too short for that. We love to raise a glass together but hate feeling bad the next day. We’ve been experimenting with cannabis cocktails and one of our favorite brands to try for cannabis mixology are the tinctures from Proof Wellness.

Proof is owned and operated by women, so of course, they get it. All Proof products are vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, and cruelty-free, made by hand in their small facility in Northern California.

Making your own canna-cocktails with a tincture saves money and allows you to control your own dosage. Plus, if you’re looking to be healthy, it cuts out the sugar you’d get from edibles. For the canna-curious friend: Have you ever tried micro-dosing with cannabis? Proof THC Pina Colada Recipe

3 cups frozen or fresh pineapple chunks

1 can of light coconut milk (15oz)

1/2 cup pineapple juice

Proof THC rich tincture*

Pineapple wedge for garnish

Add the pineapple chunks, coconut milk and pineapple juice to a blender. Blend until smooth and thick.

Pour into serving glasses and put 1/2 a dropper or less (depending on how much THC you want) of Proof THC rich tincture on top of each drink. Add garnish and serve! Or better yet, let your guests dose themselves according to their preference!

*Dosage: we recommend starting at a low level relative to your normal consumption. You can always add more. Proof makes it easy to understand dosing and choose the product that’s right for you.

What Else Should I Know About Palm Springs?

Remember when we told you about the dry climate in Palm Springs? Another thing to consider if you have sensitive skin is pool and hot tub chemicals. Pool chemicals can wreak havoc on skin, especially if you’re spending a lot of time in the hot tub like we were! I actually had a terrible rash from the dry air and hot tub chemicals and once again, cannabis saved me.

Boston is a beautiful city, overflowing with history and culture. It’s one of the most popular destinations in the northeast for its incredible museums, great restaurants, and abundant activities. It’s also home to some of the best legal weed in the country.

Ever since the Massachusetts Marijuana Legalization Initiative passed in November 2016, legalizing cannabis use for adults 21 and older with retail sales beginning in November 2018, some have called Boston “the cannabis capital of the East Coast.” Massachusetts made history as the first state on the East Coast to legalize recreational cannabis. Medical cannabis is also legal in the state but you have to be a resident to qualify.

Seafood at Saltie Girl

Some of the best clam chowder (and c’mon, you have to have New England clam chowder when in Boston) and seafood you can find. An amazing raw bar, fried whole belly Ipswich clams and lobster rolls by the ounce are on the menu. Located in the beautiful Back Bay, Saltie Girl definitely stands out in the area. Definitely make a reservation as it fills up fast!

Serving an elegant classic tea with a twist of New England culinary favorites, the Courtyard is the premier destination for afternoon tea in the city. We loved the finely crafted tea sandwiches, sweets, and scones in a historic and architectural marvel of the Boston Public Library. You cannot go wrong with this high tea.

Boston’s High-End Cannabis Dinner Series Eat Sacrilicious

While we didn’t get a chance to experience one of Sacrilicious’s infused dinner series events, we absolutely love the concept! If you’re not lucky enough to be in town for one of their 5-7 course meals, don’t fret. You can hire them to cook at your own private event. While they do not provide a venue, they have contacts in the city with available locations. They also provide cannabis cooking classes so you can be your own chef!

Flour Bakery and Cafe

Our friend who is a local suggested we stop by Flour Bakery for some breakfast sandwiches and pastries because apparently “it’s a thing” in Boston. We weren’t expecting much from a little take-away cafe, but everything kind of blew us away. And it wasn’t just because we’d partaken a couple puffs from a Pioneer Valley Cannabis Company infused joint either. The moist scones, buttery breakfast pastries, grand homemade cookies, luscious pies, gorgeous cakes, and sandwiches, soups, salads, and grain bowls are all excellent. The staff is also super friendly! You won’t be disappointed if you pop into any of their many locations throughout Boston!

What to do in Boston?

Boston is one of the most historic cities in America that you can explore by visiting various museums, historical sites, and other attractions. The city has been nicknamed "The Athens of America" for its intellectual culture and love for higher education.

Museums in Boston are not limited to just one area of interest. There are museums dedicated to science, art, history, military affairs, maritime affairs - you name it! Core is a free museum located inside of Seed, a Recreational Cannabis Dispensary in Boston.

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

You know we wouldn’t get through this guide without mentioning some herstory right? This stunning museum, modeled after a 15th-century Venetian palace, was built in 1898–1901 by Isabella Stewart Gardner, an American art collector, philanthropist, and patron of the arts.

Gardner began collecting seriously after she received a large inheritance from her father in 1891. After her husband’s death, Isabella realized their shared dream of building a suitable space to exhibit their treasures. She purchased land in the marshy Fenway area of Boston where at the time there were few other buildings in the area. She instructed her architect to build Fenway Court modeled on the Renaissance palaces of Venice. Gardner was deeply involved in every aspect of the design, leading the architect to quip that he was merely the structural engineer making Gardner's design possible. After the construction of the building was complete, Gardner spent a year installing her collection in a way that evokes intimate responses to the art, mixing paintings, furniture, textiles, and objects from different cultures and periods among well-known European paintings and sculptures.

The museum houses important works of European, Asian, and American art that include paintings, sculptures, tapestries, and decorative arts.

In case you didn’t see the Netflix series about it, in 1990, thirteen of the museum's works were stolen. The crime remains unsolved, and the works, valued at an estimated $500 million, have not been recovered. The Public Garden was the first public botanical garden in America. The Victorians ushered in the style of park which featured the gardener’s art. They designed vibrant floral patterns in the Garden which utilized new techniques of collecting, hybridizing, and propagating plants. With access to showy annuals and greenhouse-grown plants they bedded the Garden with colorful displays and planted exotic imported trees. In the early days, some complained that the unnatural combinations of colorful plants were garish beyond the bounds of good taste. Now Boston calls the Public Garden one of its greatest attractions.

How to get to Boston

It's easy to get from Boston to New York City with Amtrak's Northeast Regional service. Boston has three Amtrak stations: North Station, South Station and Back Bay.

What are the weed laws in Boston?

"Open container" means a package of marijuana or marijuana products with a broken seal, or with some of the contents removed. You must keep an open container in a locked glove compartment or trunk. Also keep in mind that under state law, you can't consume marijuana of any kind in any public place. Violations can carry a civil penalty of up to $100. You’ll definitely notice people consuming cannabis in public but it’s important to understand that this technically isn’t legal and understand the risk.

8 Hacks for Planning a 420 Friendly Camping (or Glamping!) Trip

Camping: you either love it or hate it. Personally, a camping trip is one of the highlights of my year. I’ve spend years honing the craft of optimizing my camping packing for sustainability, practicality, comfort, safety, and of course, fun. Now that I’ve moved to the Pacific Northwest, I’ve truly mastered the art of weed camping. If you or your friends are looking for a new adventure, consider taking a stoner girl camping trip for all the beautiful, outdoor vibes.

With these ideas, and your favorite flower along for the ride, you might actually like camping a lot more than you think…and be able to convince your anti-camping trip friends to enjoy it as well. So whether you are a seasoned veteran, or just starting out in the world of the great outdoors, take a look at these tips to stay safe and have the highest time.

What you need to know about 420 friendly camping:

1. Take a look at the Campground’s smoking rules

Not all campgrounds are created equally! Make sure you take a look at your campsite’s rules when it comes to consuming cannabis. 5. Take time for yourself

How To Plan A Joint Birthday

First of all, there’s no rule that says you have to celebrate your birthday on the actual date of your birthday.

Well, we kinda love getting high - in a responsible, fun, grown-up way. We’ve been exploring our relationship with the plant for years now so we know what dosage and consumption methods work for us now. Though we drink sometimes (you might notice a glass of champagne next to our designer bongs) we have found much more fulfillment with weed. Cannabis can help open up your perspective to new ideas. While others might enjoy knocking back a few drinks to unwind, we prefer giggling over inside jokes and having a dance party to Lana Del Rey (yes, you can dance to Lana if you really try) and Lizzy Jeff.

And there’s no risk of having to hold back each other’s hair if someone imbibes a little too much. One of the very best things about utilizing cannabis for your celebration instead of the more traditional partaking of booze is that you won’t be hungover.

We loved waking up in the morning after our party and feeling fresh! No headaches, no dehydration, and no feeling like you want to sleep all day. The hours you will never get back from being hungover really become apparent as you begin to enjoy cannabis and get used to not having to worry about hangovers.

One important thing to note is to always start small with weed until you are familiar with how your body reacts. Listen to your body and keep track of what products you’re using/how much you’re consuming and you will start to understand what’s right for you.

Where To Have Your Party

We chose a city getaway for our party because we have so many incredible memories in New York City - and consuming cannabis has been decriminalized there! How could we not celebrate that as well? Whoever the hell you want. It’s your party and if want to have a few select friends join you, why not? But if you just want it to be the two of you, don’t feel like you have to invite anyone. Sometimes you just want to get high with your bestie and no one else is invited!

Celebration Essentials + Our Itenirary

Finding cool weed stuff is one of our very favorite activities. This party was particularly exciting because we got to show each other some of our finds that the other one hadn’t tried.
